PARKS CANADA – BOARDWALK – SINGING SANDS BEACH, BRUCE PENINSULA

Parks Canada wanted to create an “off the beach” experience and invite visitors to enjoy the ecologically sensitive Fen. However due to the sensitive nature of the Fen area, a raised boardwalk was needed to keep the visitors from touching down on the fen itself. Your Deck Company partnered with GoliathTech Helical Screw Piles to offer a low impact solution for this overall project. GoliathTech piles were selected for their industry leading quality and the fact that they have a very small impact on the environment. Using specialized equipment, custom ramps and GoliathTech, we were able to minimize our footprint on the Fen and protect the surrounding vegetation. Additionally, every piece of cedar was locally sourced and custom milled for this unique project. Spanning over 5 weeks, the Your Deck team delivered a boardwalk that can be enjoyed for decades to come.
